Reasons to have a website

On the personal side, here are some reasons to have a website:
  1. If you move away and still want to keep in contact with family and friends, this is a great way to let them know what is going on in your life, and save on your telephone bill!
  2. Do you have a hobby? This is a great way to display that hobby
  3. If you belong to a club or group
  4. Get some supporters for a political opinion that you have

Here is some of the business reasons:

  1. Save time on the phone. Instead of spending an hour with somone explaining all the answers to their questions, send them to a Frequently asked Questions on your website. This will allow you to get back to doing what you do best, which chances are, is not spending time on the phone answering questions about what you do best!
  2. A website is one of the cheapest forms of advertisment, and it's world wide!
  3. Soon there will be two types of businesses out there, the kind that have a website, and the kind that are no longer in business.
  4. One of the first places that people go to find a business is on the internet
  5. You can sell things all over the world. you are not just limited by your geographical location any longer.
  6. Instantly let your clients know about what kind of sales/deals you have, and this can change everyday. Can you do this with the phone book?
  7. Keep your existing client base informed of sales and new products or services.

If that doesn't convince you, then you must not have a reason to have a website! (just kidding)
